Midnite will launch targeted advertising campaigns on the British newspaper’s digital platforms
UK.- The online betting operator Midnite has announced a deal with News Corp’s The Sun to sponsor the British newspaper’s Dream Team fantasy football leagues for the 2025/2026 season. The operator will be the league’s official partner, featuring across the competition’s branding. It will also launch targeted advertising campaigns on The Sun’s digital platforms.
The collaboration will integrate The Sun Sport’s editorial coverage, with real-time football updates.
Owen Griffiths, commercial revenue director at The Sun said: “We’re thrilled to team up with Midnite as we kick off the new season. This initiative gives fans a fresh way to engage with their favourite players and compete for substantial cash rewards. Dream Team remains a core part of our brand, and this alliance enhances its reach while introducing Midnite to a broader audience.”
Ryan Murton, VP of commercial at Midnite, said: “Partnering with The Sun for Dream Team marks a major milestone for us. The league has a rich legacy in fantasy football, and we’re excited to combine that tradition with our proprietary tech to deliver a standout experience for today’s fans.”

Coming on the heels of Midnite’s deal with Playzia on Love Island-themed games, the move suggests a strategy focusing on pop culture IPs to expand the diversity of its customer base.
Dream Team covers Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, and Europa League, awarding points for player actions like goals, assists, clean sheets and pitch time. Bonus points can be granted by The Sun’s editorial team through Player Performance Marks (PPM).
