CHIPS Charity, which is set to present its 800th wheelchair in 2026, has been announced as the official charity partner for this year’s iGB L!VE event in London. The charity, born from the land-based gambling industry, provides custom-designed powered wheelchairs for young people whose families cannot access or fund the necessary equipment, with each chair costing up to £9,000.
Linda Lindsay, co-founder of CHIPS Charity, shared her enthusiasm for the partnership with WorldGaming:
“I have seen the strain and stress that parents experience when they learn that their child does not qualify for a powered wheelchair. The qualification tests can be extremely cruel, and in some cases, children who can walk only a few meters are deemed ineligible, even though they quickly struggle to stand beyond that extremely short distance—which is why CHIPS fulfills such an important role.” “There’s no doubt that CHIPS chairs transform lives, providing youngsters with the freedom and independence that so many of us understandably take for granted. CHIPS was founded by colleagues working in the land-based casino sector, and I’m very much looking forward to introducing our work and explaining our vision to iGaming professionals and businesses at iGB L!VE.”
WorldGaming will introduce a program of activations to promote CHIPS Charity among the international iGaming community attending the event. The iGB L!VE event, which focuses on innovative technologies and networking opportunities, drew a record 20,227 attendees in 2025—a 16% increase from the previous year—and saw participation from 149 countries, up from 131 in 2024.
This collaboration highlights the iGaming industry’s dedication to supporting meaningful charitable causes while utilizing the event’s global platform to amplify the impact of CHIPS Charity.
