JOI Gaming, the operator of Jack’s Casino, has received a warning from the Dutch gambling regulator, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), following an anonymous report about a promotional breach on the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) website. The issue arose because clicking on the Jack’s Casino logo on the PDC site led users directly to the operator’s online platform.
The KSA clarified that the logo’s placement was not the primary concern, but the direct link violated Dutch gambling laws. These regulations, updated in July 2025 as part of the revised Remote Gaming Act (KOA), prohibit untargeted iGaming advertisements and sports sponsorships involving online gambling providers.
This is not the first regulatory issue for JOI Gaming in the Netherlands. In December 2025, the company was fined €400,000 (£346,000) for using influencers to promote gambling during a motorsport event, a violation dating back to 2023. The fine reflected the Dutch government’s crackdown on unauthorized gambling promotions.
In response to the latest warning, JOI Gaming promptly removed the link from the PDC website, potentially avoiding further action. The incident serves as a reminder of the complexities operators face when adhering to varying advertising regulations across different markets.
Interestingly, in markets where Jack’s Casino is not licensed—such as the UK—the logo appears on the PDC website under the Partners section, but clicking it does not redirect users to the operator’s platform. Instead, it leads back to the PDC website, a practice that aligns with the stricter advertising rules enforced by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), where neither Jack’s Casino nor JOI Gaming holds a license.
The repeated regulatory challenges faced by JOI Gaming underscore the need for operators to carefully navigate advertising and sponsorship rules to avoid penalties and maintain compliance in evolving markets.
