Talbot joins Midnite from LiveScore Group, where he served as chief product officer.
UK.- The challenger sportsbook and casino operator Midnite has named Sam Talbot as Vice President of Product as it continues its expansion efforts. Talbot has over 15 years of experience in product leadership roles across digital and consumer-facing platforms.
He joins Midnite from LiveScore Group, where he served as chief product officer, leading product strategy and development across sports and entertainment products. He also co-founded consultancy firm The iGaming Collective and previously held roles at Sky Betting & Gaming and bet365.

Talbot said: “Midnite’s commitment to in-house technology and genuine product innovation really stood out to me. This is a team that cares deeply about the player experience and moves quickly to deliver it. I’m excited to be joining at such an important stage of growth and to help build products that set new standards in the industry.”
Midnite was founded in 2015 by Nick Wright and Daniel Qu. The London-headquartered operator now has a team of over 150. Talbot joins after it recently raised a $35m Series C funding round led by Raine Partners IV.
The company took on a $100m credit facility in October to help finance its expansion plans. Much of its focus has been on scaling product and engineering capabilities around its in-house platform and new product launches, which have seen it expand into horse racing and casino.
“Midnite is product obsessed, so bringing Sam on board as VP of Product felt like a completely natural fit,” Wright said. “He shares our DNA when it comes to building for players first, and he brings the leadership and experience we need as we scale.

Midnite has gained attention with its advertising, which hasn’t always been welcome. In November, The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) upheld a complaint against a post on Midnite’s X page that featured a video of footballer Son Heung-Min holding the Europa League trophy following Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United. Published on May 23. The post had a caption reading: “How bro starts acting after winning £8.10 from a 30p 8 fold acca bet”.
A researcher from the University of Bristol lodged a complaint suggesting that the post was likely to be of strong appeal to under 18s, and therefore in breach of the CAP code of conduct for gaming ads. Dribble Media, which operates as Midnite, acknowledged that claim, although it said it believed the ad to be humorous editorial rather than a marketing communication intended to drive traffic or sell a product.
