Evolution has introduced Spinning Whale, a new online slots brand aimed primarily at North American players as the company expands its casino content portfolio.
Spinning Whale joins Evolution’s existing slot brands, including Nolimit City, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming and Sneaky Slots. The studio will develop games around North American player preferences while retaining wider international potential.
Spinning Whale Targets the US Market
The brand launched with 888 Dragon’s Fortune Hold’n’Win, an Asian-themed slot inspired by traditional land-based games and adapted for online players in the US. Spinning Whale will make its wider North American network debut in November, with further titles planned for 2027.
Evolution will distribute the studio’s games exclusively through its One Stop Shop (OSS), allowing operators to access the new brand alongside its broader online casino portfolio through one integration.
Jacob Claesson, CEO Evolution North America, said the company sees further opportunities for online slots in the region.
“North America is a key market for Evolution, and we see significant opportunity to continue growing our online slots business here. We know that players in the US can have different preferences when it comes to themes, volatility, mechanics and visual style. Spinning Whale will allow us to increase the number of games we release with the US player perspective in mind from the outset, helping us get more of the content players love in front of them.”
Claesson said the studio followed research into local preferences and market developments.
“We have spent considerable time looking at what players in this market enjoy and where we see the market heading. Spinning Whale is a direct response to that opportunity. While we expect many of these games to resonate with players well beyond North America, we are particularly excited about the potential for the brand in the US.”
Evolution Reports North American Award Success
Malcolm Mizzi, Head of Commercial Operations of Evolution RNG, said Spinning Whale would broaden the company’s slots offering and could serve markets beyond North America.
“Spinning Whale adds another distinct proposition to Evolution’s slots portfolio. Our strength lies in having a range of brands, each with its own identity, mechanics and approach to game development, allowing us to create a broader range of content for operators and their players rather than trying to make one style of game fit every player. Spinning Whale expands that range further and gives us another strong platform from which to continue growing our slots offering. While the US is the initial focus for Spinning Whale, we see strong potential for its games across our global network.”
Evolution also reported a double award win in North America. The company was named Digital Supplier of the Year, while Ice Fishing received Digital Product of the Year.
“We’re delighted to have been named Digital Supplier of the Year, while Ice Fishing has also taken home Digital Product of the Year.”
“These awards recognise the innovation, creativity and hard work of our teams, together with the continued support of our partners across North America.”
Evolution said Ice Fishing will launch in additional regional markets.
